Sun path prayer widget

The sun's real path across the day, with the five prayers marked on it.

Scale
9 calculation methods, no external service

Problem

Prayer-time screens are usually a table of clock times. In a lobby or a visitor centre the table competes with the photograph or video behind it, and a number list says nothing about where the sun is.

What we built

A transparent widget for SpinetiX players that draws today's sun curve from the real altitude of the sun, with a disc at the current time and dots for Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha. A name appears only in a short callout around each prayer, in English and Arabic, and a Friday reads Jumu'ah. An optional warm light spreads over whatever sits behind it. It is set by coordinates, calculation method, elevation and per-prayer offsets, and everything is calculated on the player with no network call.

Result

Built, unit-tested against the player's own astronomy library and rendered at landscape, portrait, square and strip sizes. Delivered as an Elementi project and archive. Not yet used on a client screen.
